Blackheath Men…Wednesday 28th February was our usual Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 BBB sponsored by the Proshop. The winner of the single event was Shane Murphy (6) with 41 points on a countback while the 2 Ball went to Mark Allen (10) and Steve Caswell (15)  with 46 points. Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Mark Allen at 149 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Josh Thomas at 252 cms. Saturday 2nd March…was a Stroke event for the March Medal with a Single Stableford in conjunction. The A grade and B grade results in a playoff being necessary in next months medal between Steve Tolhurst (8) and Christo Macartney (5) both finishing with 64 nett and in B grade, Mick Ashford (14) and Ian Hehir (17) both finishing on 67 nett. The C grade went to James Dakin (19) with 69 nett. The Stableford went Mick Hillier (11) with 37 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to John Hollis with an “ACE” on the Parke street Group sponsored 5th hole to Steve Tolhurst at 200 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole again to Steve Tolhurst at 360 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Ian Hehir at 218 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to Mark Allen at 186 cms and on the newly sponsored 17th hole also to Mark Allen at 453 cms and now sponsored by Keith and Chris Rhind and we thank them for their generous offering. Balls in the Medal went to 67 nett and to 30 points on a countback in the Stableford. Next Saturday the Men play an Irish team Stableford with a single Stableford in conjunction sponsored by Carlos Donoso.

Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 29th February was a 2 Person Ambrose qualifying round for the Ladies Keno “Lets Play” event sponsored by Nola Lavers and Rozi Starkey.The winners were Bec Brown and Louise Stevenson playing off 7 and finishing with 65.3 nett ahead of Sarah Gardner and Lynne Pressley playing off 11 and finishing with 74.3 nett. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 7th hole went to Lynne Pressley also picking up the Propin at 285 cms, on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Sarah Gardner and on the 17th hole to Louise Stevenson. Balls went to 76.5 nett. Next Thursday the Ladies play a Stroke event for a Club Medal and Rd 1 of the WGNSW Medal.

Saturday 2nd March…was a Single Stableford sponsored by Louise Stevenson. The winner was Lynne Pressley (21) with 31 points ahead of Sarah Gardner (22) with 30 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Lynne Pressley, on the 13th hole to Carrie Soady and on the New Age Kitchen sponsored 17th hole to Di Pease. Balls went to 28 points. Next Saturday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Louise Aaron.
